RipChord, from
the depths of sleepiest Sussex, create rock music for real rockers. Theirs is
a music
bred from the petty frustrations of small - town life, a shout at the banalities
of the everyday, the birthplace of real rock and roll. Outside the in-crowds
of corporate, sterile, London and it’s pretentious, mutant, bastard child,
Brighton,
RipChord are exciting those who can make up their own minds. Often compared
to Muse and The Darkness, they prefer
to cite influences such as Hendrix, Deep Purple, Soundgarden, and Muse as the
driving forces that inspire their hardhitting tunes. Ross Towner’s unique
voice and unforgettable lyrics deliver something both beautiful and chilling.
Guitarist, Dave Page, revels in rhythm sounds that are rude and ugly before
cutting up a song with a soaring lead. Under it all bassist Eduardo Sanchez
and drummer, Lenny Goldberg, form a rhythm section that provides RipChord with
it’s trademark agression and in- yer-face-jump-up-and- listen energy.“If
you’re not on the edge you’re takin’ up too muchroom,”
sums up their approach.
